Burna Boy Thrills 100,000 Fans at England Women’s Euro Trophy Parade

Grammy winner joins Lionesses at Buckingham Palace celebration, performs ‘For My Hand’ to massive crowd

Nigerian music superstar and Grammy winner, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, gave a memorable performance on Tuesday during the England Women’s Euro Trophy celebration held at Buckingham Palace.

The ‘African Giant’ took the stage alongside the victorious Lionesses, delivering a rousing performance of his hit single For My Hand, which features English singer Ed Sheeran. His appearance added a global flair to the historic celebration, which drew an estimated crowd of 100,000 fans.

Burna Boy’s performance energized the jubilant audience, including England’s head coach Sarina Wiegman and members of the team, who were seen dancing and singing along during the event.

The performance further cements Burna Boy’s status as a global musical force. In 2023, he became the first African artist to headline the UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show, sharing the spotlight with Brazilian pop star Anitta in Istanbul.

His Buckingham Palace appearance not only celebrates a sporting milestone but also underscores the growing presence of Afrobeats on the global stage.
