Burna Boy Fires Back at Critics Over Planned Free Concert in Burkina Faso

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy has fiercely responded to criticism surrounding his proposal to host a free concert in Burkina Faso.

The Grammy Award-winning artist’s initiative faced backlash after rumors circulated that the President of Burkina Faso allegedly declined his offer, prompting some social media users to question his motives and mock the plan.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Burna Boy defended his intentions, asserting that his philanthropic actions are driven by principle, not personal gain.

“I’m guided by purpose, not profit,” he wrote. “I have nothing to gain from anyone, and I owe no one anything. Still, that’s never stopped me from using my platform for good. My integrity is intact.”

Clearly frustrated by the tone of some online reactions, the artist didn’t hold back in addressing his detractors.

“To those who’ve spoken negatively or spread false narratives, burn in hell,” he added bluntly.

Burna Boy’s comments have sparked fresh debate on social media, with fans and critics once again divided over the artist’s outspoken nature and sense of mission.
