British Man Sole Survivor of Deadly Air India Crash That Killed Over 200
Vishwashkumar Ramesh miraculously survives Ahmedabad plane crash en route to London

In an astonishing story of survival, a British man has emerged as the sole survivor of an Air India plane crash that killed at least 200 people shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad, western India.
The flight, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner bound for London Gatwick Airport, crashed moments after lifting off, leaving behind a scene of devastation. Among the 230 passengers and crew members on board, Vishwashkumar Ramesh, seated in 11A, miraculously survived.
According to his brother, Nayan Kumar Ramesh, the family is still in disbelief.
“We have no idea how he made it out alive,” he said. “It’s a miracle.”
The passenger manifest released by Air India included 169 Indian nationals, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian. Authorities have begun identifying victims and investigating the cause of the crash, which remains unknown at this time.
Mr Ramesh, currently hospitalized, was visited by Indian Interior Minister Amit Shah. Photos from the hospital show the minister offering condolences and support.
Officials say an in-depth investigation will be carried out, involving India’s aviation authority and international experts. The crash is one of the deadliest in India’s recent aviation history.
The British Foreign Office has confirmed it is providing consular assistance to families affected and is closely monitoring developments.
