Bold Investments Needed to Bridge Nigeria’s Energy Gap — All On Chairman

Global business leaders, diplomats, and policymakers convened at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the 2025 LCCI International Business Conference & Expo, themed “Invest Nigeria.”
The conference explored investment opportunities across Nigeria’s thriving sectors. Among the participants was All On, a Shell-backed impact investment firm, showcasing its renewable energy initiatives.
Delivering a keynote address titled “Investment Opportunities in Nigeria: A Renewable Energy Perspective”, Ronald Adams, Chairman of All On and Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), underscored the urgent need for bold private-sector investments in Nigeria’s renewable energy space.
“The opportunity in Nigeria is real. The needs are urgent. And the ecosystem is vibrant,” Adams said. “Now is the time to invest—not just in businesses, but in Nigeria’s future: a future that is inclusive, sustainable, and resilient.”
Adams highlighted All On’s impact since its inception in 2016, including:
-
50+ direct investments
-
Over $40 million committed to clean energy projects
-
1.2 million Nigerians gaining energy access across 190 underserved communities
He also spotlighted flagship initiatives like the Demand Aggregation for Renewable Technology (DART) and DARES programmes, which are helping transform Nigeria’s energy landscape.
The two-day conference featured high-profile speakers, country-to-country business sessions, regulatory panels, and private engagements with diplomats and government officials, reinforcing Nigeria’s position as a gateway for investment into Africa.
