Billy Joel Diagnosed with Brain Disorder, Cancels Upcoming Tours

Legendary American musician Billy Joel has been diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), a neurological condition caused by the buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain, leading to pressure on brain tissues.
The 76-year-old singer made this known in a statement released by his management on Friday via his official Instagram page, announcing the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates.
According to the statement, the condition has begun to seriously impact Joel’s vision, hearing, and balance, especially following recent performances.
“Under his doctor’s instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period,” the statement read.
Ticket holders were also assured of automatic refunds, which will be processed to the original method of payment.
The cancelled concerts were part of a tour scheduled to run across Europe and North America from April 26 to July 3, 2025.
Fans around the world have expressed support and well wishes for the iconic performer as he begins his recovery journey.
