Arsenal have entered discussions to sign Ademola Lookman from Atalanta during the current summer transfer window. The Super Eagles winger is approaching the final months of his contract with the Serie A club and is expected to make a move ahead of the new season, especially after a reported falling out with former manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to AFTV, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is interested in bringing Lookman to the Emirates as he looks to strengthen his squad for the upcoming campaign.
Meanwhile, Atalanta appear to be preparing for Lookman’s departure by securing a deal for Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana. The Ghanaian international will join the Italian club for a total package worth around €21.5 million (£18.3 million), which includes a €17.5 million (£15 million) base fee and additional performance-related bonuses.
Sulemana, who primarily features on the left wing for Southampton, is expected to play a similar role once his transfer to Atalanta is finalized.
