Appeal Court Affirms Ododo’s Election As Kogi Gov

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has affirmed the election of Usman Ododo as the Governor of Kogi State.

The Kogi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which dismissed the appeal filed by Social Democratic Party candidate Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, affirmed Ododo’s election as the legitimate governor of Kogi State on November 11, 2023.

The panel of three judges on the appellate court upheld the decision.

In ruling on all four grounds of appeal against the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and its candidate for governor, Murtala Ajaka, the Appellate Court concluded that the petitioners had not established each and every one of the claims in their petition beyond a reasonable doubt.
