APC Chieftain Ozigbo Slams Soludo’s Governance, Labels Projects “PR Stunts”

Valentine Ozigbo criticizes Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration for focusing on aesthetics over real development during President Tinubu’s visit.

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Valentine Ozigbo, has sharply criticized Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration, accusing it of prioritizing public relations over meaningful governance.

In a statement released on Thursday during President Bola Tinubu’s official visit to Anambra to commission several projects, Ozigbo alleged that Soludo’s initiatives were more about appearances than substance. He described the governor’s tenure as one filled with “missed priorities, misplaced ambitions, and media optics masquerading as progress.”

Ozigbo specifically called out the recently commissioned Solution FunCity, questioning its relevance amid the state’s growing economic and social challenges. “This facility should rightly have been left to private investors. What critical social problem does this park solve? Hunger? Unemployment? Fear?” he queried.

He also accused the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) of instructing its members to avoid wearing party regalia during the commissioning event—a move he interpreted as an attempt to dodge scrutiny in front of the President. “If your policies are strong and your house is in order, why hide your colours?” Ozigbo asked.

The APC chieftain concluded by urging a shift toward people-centered leadership: “We deserve a government that builds lives, not just lodges. Leadership should be rooted in compassion, driven by vision, and measured by real change in people’s lives—not PR stunts.”
