Angela Okorie Reveals Bullet Fragments Still in Her Head Years After 2019 Attack
The Nollywood actress says recurring health issues have led to the discovery of more bullet fragments lodged in her head from a past assassination attempt.
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has disclosed that fragments from bullets fired at her during a 2019 assassination attempt remain lodged in her head, years after the life-threatening incident.
In a heartfelt update shared on Instagram, Okorie revealed that she has spent the past two weeks undergoing a series of hospital visits, tests, and medical scans due to persistent health challenges. The actress explained that her symptoms—blurry vision, recurring headaches, and overall fatigue—prompted doctors to place her on bed rest.
“Last two weeks have been so hectic… I found out there were still fragments of bullet in my head,” she wrote, adding that more fragments have surfaced over time. “As years go by, even more bullets still come out. But at the end of the day, God showeth mercy.”
Accompanying her message was footage of her medical evaluations, showing scans and consultation scenes that underscored the seriousness of her condition. The actress stressed the importance of good health, calling it “underestimated.”
Okorie survived a gun attack in December 2019, during which she sustained multiple head injuries. She has since alleged that the shooting was not random but orchestrated by individuals within the entertainment industry.
Despite the trauma, the actress continues to express gratitude for life and divine protection, writing, “God is with me no doubt, and may His name be praised.”
Okorie, known for her strong persona both on and off screen, has consistently maintained that she will not forgive those behind the attack.
