Afeez Abiodun Reveals the True Personality of His Wife, Mide Martins

Nollywood filmmaker and actor Afeez Abiodun has opened up about the true character of his wife, popular actress Mide Martins, saying she is nothing like the tough roles she often portrays in films.
Abiodun, who has been married to Mide for almost 20 years, explained that while audiences may know her for playing fiery and confrontational characters on screen, her real-life personality is calm, gentle, and far removed from those depictions.
“She’s the exact opposite of what people think,” he revealed in a recent interview. “I’ve never had to separate her from any fight on set. If issues arise, she would rather walk away or drive off than get into an altercation.”
The filmmaker went on to draw a comparison with their colleague, actress Wunmi Toriola, noting that her real-life demeanor aligns more closely with her no-nonsense movie roles.
“Wunmi is a bit like her on-screen self,” Abiodun said. “She won’t look for trouble, but if provoked, she responds just like the characters people see her play.”
The revelation offers fans a rare glimpse into the private life of one of Nollywood’s most admired couples, showing a sharp contrast between fiction and reality in the entertainment industry.
