Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. eligible to represent five countries at international level- Report

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the son of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, is reportedly eligible to represent up to five different countries at the international level, according to a report by Sports Outlet 433.

The 14-year-old, who has already shown flashes of his father’s footballing talent in youth teams, qualifies for multiple national teams thanks to his birthplace, family heritage, and time spent living in various countries.

The report reveals that Ronaldo Jr. is eligible to play for Portugal due to his father’s nationality. His birth in the United States also grants him automatic eligibility for the American national team.

Having lived in Spain for three years before the age of 10, during his father’s time at Real Madrid, makes him a potential candidate for the Spanish national team. Additionally, Ronaldo Jr.’s extended stay in England—spanning over five years during Ronaldo’s stints at Manchester United—qualifies him for the England national team.

Finally, Ronaldo Jr. can represent Cape Verde, thanks to his family’s connections to the West African nation.

Eligible countries:

  • Portugal – through his father’s nationality
  • USA – as he was born there
  • Spain – from living in Spain for three years before the age of 10
  • England – from living in the UK for over five years
  • Cape Verde – through family ancestry
