One Chance: Police Threaten Sanctions against Illegal Tinted Glass Violators in FCT

The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Olatunji Disu, has issued a firm warning against the illegal use of vehicles with tinted windows in Abuja, vowing to take decisive action against violators.

At a news conference in Abuja, Disu explained that the enforcement of laws on tinted windows is crucial in addressing the rising incidents of “one chance” operators—individuals posing as commercial taxi drivers to abduct unsuspecting residents.

He further revealed that since the formation of the command’s special tactical team a total of 296 vehicles have been impounded for various offenses.

These include the use of tinted windows, driving with only one license plate, and operating vehicles with concealed or defaced number plates.
