Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has joked about Manchester City’s ongoing financial case, saying he would “rather have a bit of a laugh” over the matter.
City finished ahead of Mourinho’s side in the 2017/18 Premier League campaign, denying him the title.
Speaking to Cor Sport, Mourinho suggested the case could take years to reach a final resolution.
“I’d rather have a bit of a laugh about it,” Mourinho said.
“Being in my 60s, I’ll have to be lucky enough still to be here when the final verdict arrives.
“Now a ruling will come, then an appeal… I’ll be 80!”
Manchester City maintain that they have committed no wrongdoing and have already lodged an appeal.
