Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has continued the gradual reveal of her upcoming movie Bestie, announcing two more additions to its cast.
Abraham announced on Monday that actor Maurice Sam and Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner Imisi will feature in the film, which is scheduled to open in cinemas across Nigeria on December 16, 2026.
The filmmaker also disclosed the characters the two will play. Imisi will appear as Suzy Baby, while Maurice Sam has been cast as Peter.
Their inclusion follows the earlier unveiling of veteran actors Pete Edochie and Sola Sobowale.
Edochie was announced as Papa Ngozi, while Sobowale will portray Mama Ngozi. Their casting marked the first major names Abraham revealed for the project ahead of its festive-season release.
Abraham has yet to disclose the full storyline of Bestie, keeping details of the production largely under wraps as the cast is introduced in stages.
The filmmaker has, however, built anticipation around the project through the successive cast announcements, with fans now getting a clearer picture of the actors attached to the film.
The December 16 release places Bestie among the Nigerian films scheduled to compete for cinema audiences during the busy end-of-year period.
More cast announcements and further details about the film are expected as its release date approaches.
