
Nigeria’s senior men’s volleyball team have stepped up preparations for the 2026 African Men’s Volleyball Championship in Tunis, Tunisia, after securing qualification for the continental tournament.
The championship is scheduled to run from September 13 to 27, with Nigeria set to battle some of Africa’s leading volleyball nations for continental honours.
The team made history by earning a place at the prestigious competition, with captain Abdulquadri Jaiyeola playing a key role in their qualification campaign.
With the tournament fast approaching, the Nigerian side have intensified their training in Abuja as they prepare for their maiden appearance at the African Men’s Volleyball Championship.
The competition is expected to provide a major test for the team as they take on some of the continent’s strongest sides.
