
Niger Tornadoes have been handed a financial incentive ahead of their opening Nigeria Premier Football League fixture against Enyimba.
The Ikon Allah Boys will begin their 2026-27 campaign at the Bako Kotangora Stadium in Minna, where they host the nine-time NPFL champions on Sunday.
Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission, Danjuma Abdul Masu, has pledged a N2 million bonus should the team secure victory.
Masu also provided an immediate N500,000 cash gift to the players and technical crew as part of efforts to motivate them before the encounter.
The new NPFL season gets underway on Friday, with Shooting Stars facing newly promoted Inter Lagos in Ibadan in the opening fixture.
