Peter Afolayan has departed Enyimba after his contract with the Aba club expired.
The forward made 35 appearances for the People’s Elephant after joining at the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign from Heartland.
Afolayan was a regular for the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions and played an important role as the club battled to avoid relegation last season.
His performances have reportedly drawn interest from several clubs since his exit from the two-time African champions.
Enyimba will now seek a replacement for Afolayan ahead of the new season.
