Ranchers Bees have formally heralded their promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), characterizing the milestone as the resurgence of a storied sporting institution. The Kaduna-based outfit secured their ascent by finishing at the pinnacle of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Conference D standings, accumulating 20 points to end nearly two decades of exile from the nation’s elite division. This achievement marks the club’s first appearance in the top tier in eighteen years, a feat the management attributes to a rigorous foundation of strategic planning and dedication.
In an official communiqué released on Thursday, the club reflected on the emotional and historical weight of their success. The leadership emphasized that the promotion signifies a transformative moment for the organization, rather than a mere change in league status.
“After 18 long years we are proud to announce our return to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL,” the statement from Ranchers Bees read. “This achievement is more than a promotion, it is a rebirth of a legacy, the reward for belief and the beginning of a new chapter. Since the revival of this great club on August 16, 2025, this journey has been driven by passion, vision and commitment.”
While the primary objective of promotion has been realized, the competitive season continues for the Bees. They are now set to travel to Ikenne next weekend to participate in the NNL Super Four tournament. This post-season championship will see them face off against fellow promoted sides Inter Lagos, Doma United, and Sporting Lagos to determine the definitive winner of the 2025-26 NNL campaign.
The revival of the club, which gained significant momentum in August of last year, has now culminated in a return to the spotlight of Nigerian football. For the fans in Kaduna, the upcoming Super Four serves as a celebratory prelude to the much-anticipated return of NPFL action to their doorstep.
