Emmanuel Amuneke, the Technical Adviser for Heartland, has conveyed his approval of the squad’s recent performance following a dominant display against Gateway FC. The “Naze Millionaires” secured a comprehensive 3-0 victory on Saturday, utilizing their home-ground advantage at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri to claim all three points.
Currently positioned third in the Conference A standings, the Owerri-based club is operating under a rigorous mandate established by the former African Footballer of the Year. Amuneke emphasized that the collective focus is now fixed on maintaining a perfect record for the remainder of the campaign. While acknowledging the quality of their opposition, the tactician highlighted the visible progression of his players and their increasing ability to execute game plans effectively under pressure.
Reflecting on the result and the path forward, Amuneke shared his thoughts on the team’s evolution during a post-match discussion.
“We have a very clear objective which is to win our remaining games in the league,” Amuneke told Puyaka.
“I will say congratulations to the boys and every game we are growing, the opponents are a very good side. We are more effective in getting the three points.”
