Transmission Company of Nigeria Restores 330kV Shiroro–Mando Transmission Line 1

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced the successful restoration of the 330kV Shiroro–Mando Transmission Line 1, which is now fully operational.

This disclosure was made by TCN’s General Manager, Ndidi Mbah, in an official statement.

According to Mbah, the restoration was completed around 3:27 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2026, following extensive repair work carried out by TCN’s team of engineers.

“With the reactivation of Line 1, bulk power supply to Kaduna Electric has significantly improved, alleviating prior power supply constraints faced in Kaduna,” the Statement revealed.

Meanwhile, Mbah further added that the TCN is currently working on repairs for the 330kV Shiroro–Mando Transmission Line 2.

“Restoration of Line 2 is expected to be completed soon, pending any unforeseen delays. The completion of this line will further enhance network redundancy and improve the overall reliability of the system,” the Statement assured.
