The President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has reaffirmed the conglomerate’s commitment to strengthening its supply chain, accelerating digital transformation, and driving sustainable, customer-led growth.
Dangote made this known on Thursday while addressing distributors, board members, and senior executives at the NASCON 2025 Customers’ Dinner and Awards Night in Abuja. The high-profile gathering brought together key trade partners and stakeholders across the country in what the business magnate described as both a celebration of shared progress and a blueprint for the future.
“This event reflects not only how far we have come as a group, but also how we intend to move forward,” Dangote said.
Overseeing one of Africa’s most diversified business empires, Dangote stressed that despite operating across multiple sectors and consumer markets, the group’s philosophy remains consistent: customer partnerships are the engine of long-term success.
“As Group President, I have the privilege of overseeing a diversified conglomerate operating across various markets and brands. Despite this diversity, one principle unites us, strong customer partnerships are the foundation of sustainable growth,” he stated.
He noted that in recent years, the group has undergone significant transformation, expanding manufacturing capacity, upgrading distribution networks, strengthening its brand portfolio, and modernising go-to-market systems. According to him, each milestone was shaped by evolving market conditions and direct feedback from customers.
Dangote acknowledged the resilience of distributors and trade partners, particularly during challenging macroeconomic periods, praising their role in supporting new product launches and expanding into untapped territories.
“Many of you here tonight have walked this journey with us, supporting product introductions, pushing into new markets, and standing firmly by our brands during economic uncertainty. We are deeply grateful for your loyalty,” he added.
Looking ahead, Dangote outlined clear investment priorities for the conglomerate, linking them directly to market realities and stakeholder engagement. He disclosed that the group will continue to channel resources into brand equity, supply chain efficiency, sustainability initiatives, and digital capabilities.
However, he stressed that such investments only yield results when aligned with customer needs. “Your continued engagement and honest feedback remain critical to us,” he said.
Chairman of the Board of NASCON Allied Industries Plc and Vice President of the Dangote Group, Olakunle Alake, described the dinner as both symbolic and strategic. He noted that the event publicly reinforces customer service as a core value while strengthening collaboration in an increasingly competitive FMCG environment.
“Long-term growth is built on collaboration, not transactions,” Alake said, emphasizing that distribution strength and retail partnerships remain essential to maintaining market share and shareholder confidence.
Also speaking, Fatima Aliko Dangote, Group Executive Director of Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals, commended distributors for years of loyalty and trust, noting that their performance across markets has directly shaped the group’s expansion.
Similarly, Mariya Aliko Dangote, recently appointed Group Executive Director overseeing Commercial operations across Cement and Foods at Dangote Industries Limited, said her early days in the role have reinforced one clear lesson: market performance is driven by strong trade partnerships and customer feedback.
“I recently assumed responsibility for our food business, and one truth is already clear, our success is built with you and sustained by your unwavering support,” she said.
Managing Director of NASCON, Aderemi Saka, revealed that 50 customers were honoured at the 2025 awards ceremony. The recognitions, he explained, were designed to celebrate partners whose growth has mirrored that of the company.
Representing the award recipients, Ali Balarabe commended the board and management for consistent engagement with distributors. Some awardees received truckload prizes and cash credits in recognition of outstanding performance.
The event comes on the back of impressive financial results by NASCON. The company posted a profit of N15.6bn for the half-year ended June 30, 2025 a 222 per cent increase from the N4.8bn recorded in the corresponding period of 2024. Revenue climbed 55 per cent to N78.2bn, while operating profit surged 196 per cent to N21.3bn. Profit before tax rose to N23.3bn, more than triple the previous year’s figure.
With strong financial momentum and renewed commitment to customer-centric growth, the Dangote Group appears poised to consolidate its market leadership powered not just by scale, but by strategic partnerships that continue to define its expansion story.
