The All Progressives Congress (APC) has replaced Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma with former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari as Chairman of the National Convention Central Coordination Committee ahead of the party’s March 27–28, 2026 convention.
Announcing the changes on Friday via X, APC National Secretary Surajudeen Basiru said Uzodimma, who was initially appointed to lead the committee, will now serve as its treasurer.
The party also expanded the committee’s membership from 73 to 90 to accommodate more stakeholders. According to Basiru, the reconstitution followed “further consultations with the leadership and national stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress.”
The statement added: “Sub-committees of the Central Coordination Committee will be constituted and announced in due course.”
Under the new structure, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim was named Vice Chairman I, while Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, was appointed Vice Chairman II. Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni retains his position as Secretary of the committee.
The APC also reminded members that the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for the 2026 convention are available for purchase and collection at the Directorate of Organisation, 2nd Floor, APC National Secretariat.
The reshuffle comes as the ruling party intensifies preparations for its nationwide congresses and the upcoming national convention.
