Actor Okemesi Appeals for Help After Illness Leaves Him Homeless

Nigerian actor and content creator Bamidele Tope Saint, popularly known as Okemesi, has made a public appeal for assistance after a prolonged health challenge reportedly left him homeless and unable to work.
Okemesi shared his ordeal on Thursday during an interview with fellow actor Tony Montana, where he opened up about his absence from the screen for nearly a year. According to him, the situation began with what he described as a severe spiritual attack that significantly affected his health and livelihood.
Speaking during the interview, Tony Montana expressed concern over the actor’s current condition, noting that many fans might struggle to recognise him.
In response, Okemesi said his condition deteriorated rapidly after he was initially taken to Island Hospital, where kind-hearted individuals reportedly helped cover his medical bills. He explained that his health continued to worsen, prompting those around him to contact his family.
Okemesi disclosed that he was later taken to Osogbo by his elder brother, who sought further help for him. He said his condition improved gradually after receiving care and prayers, adding that he was unable to speak or walk for a period before regaining limited mobility.
The actor further revealed that complications arose after he moved in with his brother for recovery. According to him, his brother later experienced personal challenges, which forced him to leave and seek temporary shelter on church premises.
Now without stable accommodation or income, Okemesi said he is struggling to meet basic needs, including food and shelter. He appealed directly to his fans and the public, describing them as his last source of hope.
“I don’t have a place to sleep, and feeding has become difficult,” he said, calling for support to help him secure accommodation and rebuild his life.
The interview has since drawn attention online, with fans expressing concern and calling for support for the actor’s recovery and reintegration into the industry.
