The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has escalated its disciplinary measures by issuing expulsion certificates to 11 senior party members, including Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.
This follows the party’s November 15 announcement suspending Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, former National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, former National Organising Secretary Umar Bature, ex-National Legal Adviser Kamaldeen Ajibade, and former lawmaker Mao Ohuabunwa.
Others affected by the disciplinary action include former Imo State PDP Chairman Austine Nwachukwu, former Abia State PDP Chairman Amah Nnanna Abraham, former National Vice-Chairman (South-South) Dan Orbih, and Turnah George.
Speaking in Abuja, the Kabiru Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC) reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing party discipline as part of a broader effort to strengthen and rejuvenate the opposition.
