Gospel Singer Peterson Okopi, Wife Prudent Expect First Child
Couple shares baby news in music-style announcement, also teases upcoming joint single.
Gospel artist Peterson Okopi and his wife, fashion entrepreneur Prudent Gabriel, are expecting their first child.
The couple revealed the news on Monday in a music-style Instagram video, where Prudent’s baby bump was unveiled.
Okopi and Prudent tied the knot in a grand white wedding in October 2024, following their traditional ceremony earlier that year. The celebration was attended by family, friends, and industry colleagues.
Alongside the baby announcement, the couple also revealed they will release a joint song titled He Is God on September 1.
In their posts, both reflected on Jeremiah 1:5, a Bible verse about God’s knowledge of life before birth.
Prudent wrote: “Before you were formed I knew you (God).”
Okopi added: “Before you were formed, I the Lord knew you. Jer 1:5.”
The joyful news has been met with congratulatory messages from fans and fellow gospel musicians.
