Hakimi Breaks Silence Over Rape Allegations, Maintains Innocence

Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco international defender Achraf Hakimi has spoken publicly for the first time regarding the rape allegations leveled against him.
In an interview with Foot Africa, Hakimi firmly denied any wrongdoing, maintaining his innocence amid legal developments. His comments come as the Nanterre prosecutor’s office recently recommended that the case proceed to trial.
“I am calm. Being falsely accused is horrible, unfair. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I know the truth will come out,” Hakimi stated.
He added, “I have nothing to blame myself for, and those who know me are aware of that. I remain composed and focus on the important things in my life—namely, family and football. As I said, the truth will come out.”
The allegations stem from an incident that allegedly took place in March 2023, when a 24-year-old woman accused Hakimi of sexual assault. According to reports, the footballer had arranged and paid for her visit to his residence in Boulogne-Billancourt, a suburb of Paris, while his wife and children were away on holiday.
The legal proceedings are ongoing, and Hakimi continues to deny all allegations made against him.
