Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is reportedly open to a move to Manchester United, amid growing uncertainty over his future at the French club.
According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United have formally registered their interest in the Italian shot-stopper, who has just one year remaining on his current contract at PSG. Talks over a new deal have reportedly stalled, prompting speculation that Donnarumma could depart the Ligue 1 champions during the current transfer window.
The 25-year-old’s desire for a fresh challenge is said to have intensified following PSG’s acquisition of Lucas Cheval, further casting doubt on his role in the squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
In a separate development, Chelsea FC confirmed on Friday that promising young goalkeeper Katie Cox will spend the upcoming season on loan at Aberdeen.
The 19-year-old, who has been with the club since the age of eight, has progressed steadily through the Blues’ academy ranks. She played a key role in Chelsea’s FA Youth Cup triumph in 2021/22 and helped secure the PGA Cup the following season.
In May 2024, Cox made history by becoming the first-ever recipient of Chelsea Women’s Academy Player of the Year award, cementing her reputation as one of the brightest young talents in English women’s football.
The loan move is expected to offer the England youth international valuable first-team experience in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.
