Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie Nominated for 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy

Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy by the organizers of the prestigious Ballon d’Or awards.
The annual prize is awarded to the best female goalkeeper over the course of the year.
Nnadozie has been a standout performer for the Super Falcons, consistently delivering top-level performances in international and club competitions.
Following her recent move to Brighton in the English Women’s Super League, she played a crucial role in Nigeria’s historic triumph at the Women’s African Cup of Nations last month, where the team clinched a record-extending 10th title.
Her outstanding display earned her the Best Goalkeeper award at the tournament, during which she kept four clean sheets.
Nnadozie is shortlisted alongside Daphne van Domselaar (Arsenal), Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany), Cata Coll, and Hannah Hampton.
The winner of the Women’s Yachine Trophy will be announced during the Ballon d’Or ceremony scheduled for September 22.
