Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has emphasized that his primary focus is on Nigeria’s opening match against Senegal at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), rather than looking ahead to other group fixtures.
Nigeria has been drawn in the same group as Sudan and Congo Brazzaville, alongside reigning champions Senegal.
The Eagles are set to face Senegal today (Tuesday) at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Nigerian time.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the game, Chelle stressed the importance of a match-by-match approach.
“I don’t want to talk about Congo or Sudan for now. Our focus is on our first match tomorrow (today); we want to take each game as it comes and go step by step,” he said.
