Rasmus Højlund Emphasizes Youth and Determination Amid Criticism at Manchester United

Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund has expressed frustration that critics often overlook the fact he is only 22 years old.

Højlund also revealed his ambition to remain at Old Trafford.

Speaking to the Daily Mail after contributing to Manchester United’s victory over Bournemouth in a preseason friendly on Wednesday, he said, “I am still very young, and sometimes people forget that. I am only 22 years old.”

He added, “I have learned a lot, and I believe it shows in my performances. So far, I have done very well during the preseason, and I want to stay here.”

Højlund further stated, “My plan is clear: I intend to remain at Manchester United.”

He concluded, “I want to fight for my place, no matter what happens.”

The striker, who joined Manchester United from Atalanta in the summer of 2023, has yet to fully meet expectations.
