Al-Ahli Eye Leicester’s Ndidi Amid £9m Release Clause and European Interest

Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli are considering a move for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who is available for £9 million this summer due to a relegation release clause in his current contract.

The Nigerian international signed a new deal with the Foxes last summer that included the clause, allowing him to leave for a cut-price fee following the club’s relegation.

Al-Ahli, however, are not the only suitors for the 28-year-old. A number of European clubs, including Manchester United, Everton, and Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, are also tracking the defensive midfielder.

Ndidi, who still has two years remaining on his contract with Leicester, has been a key figure for the club since arriving from Belgian side KRC Genk in January 2017.
