US-based Nigerian comedian and content creator, Adesokan Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics, has sparked online debate after describing Nigeria as a “toxic” and “sickening” place.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Shank wrote:
“Nigeria is too too toxic, man. Sickening.”
His blunt remark triggered a wave of reactions from social media users, many of whom criticized him for speaking negatively about the country just months after relocating overseas.
One user commented:
“You never even reach 6 months for that side, and you don dey enter us.”
In response, Shank stood by his statement, replying:
“No jor. I’m serious.”
