Renowned Nigerian Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as Kwam 1, has refuted rumors of a reconciliation with his estranged wife, Fathia Titi Marshall, and dismissed claims of a separation from his current wife, Aderopo Emmanuella.
The 68-year-old musician responded to the viral speculations that emerged after the recent Sallah celebration, which suggested that his alleged reconciliation with Titi Marshall and her children had led to Emmanuella moving out of his home.
In an exclusive interview with well-known journalist Stella Dimoko-Korkus, Kwam 1 firmly denied the rumors of a reconciliation with Titi Marshall. He clarified that the past relationship is behind him, stating, “Titi Marshall is gone forever. However, I will never turn my back on the three children we have together.”
Addressing the claims of a rift with Emmanuella, Kwam 1 explained, “There is no problem between Emmanuella and me. We’re not estranged. The only challenge in relationships is setting boundaries, and sometimes jealousy arises. But we don’t have issues. I’ve asked her to step away from social media and focus on her business, but she didn’t take to that advice well. She has every right to react in her own way.”
The singer also reflected on Emmanuella’s age and her responsibilities as a mother of grown children, noting, “She’s no longer young; she already has two children in university, and the third is about to join them. These are the things that require our attention, not social media chatter.”
Kwam 1 was clear that he has no intention of marrying again, saying, “Emmanuella is my only wife, and I have no plans to take a new one.”
It’s worth noting that Kwam 1 married Titi Marshall in 2018 before parting ways with her and marrying Emmanuella in 2021.
