Nasarawa United have announced that discussions are ongoing with technical adviser Salisu Yusuf regarding a contract extension.
Yusuf initially joined the club on a short-term deal following the mid-season departure of former head coach Kabiru Dogo.
“We are trying to keep him,” Nasarawa United’s media director, Eche Amos, confirmed to journalists.
The experienced coach played a crucial role in steering the team away from relegation in the recently concluded season.
Under his guidance, Nasarawa United also reached the quarter-finals of the 2025 President Federation Cup.
The team wrapped up their 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign in 12th place, amassing 52 points from 38 matches.
