Kendrick Lamar Breaks Records with Historic Seattle Concert and Super Bowl Performance in 2025

Kendrick Lamar’s concert at Seattle’s Lumen Field on May 17 drew an impressive crowd of 60,941 fans and grossed a staggering $14.8 million. This milestone stop on his ongoing Grand National Tour with SZA set a new record as the highest-grossing concert ever by a rapper.
According to reports shared by the financial news platform Wealth on Instagram, Lamar’s Seattle show surpassed his previous record of $11.8 million, which was set at the AT&T Arena in Texas just last month.
The year 2025 has been nothing short of historic for Kendrick Lamar. His headline performance at Super Bowl 59 shattered viewership records, becoming the most-watched halftime show in history. The NFL matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs drew a record 127 million viewers, but Lamar’s halftime set eclipsed that with an astonishing 133.5 million viewers — narrowly surpassing Michael Jackson’s 1993 record of 133.4 million U.S. viewers.
Lamar made history as the first solo hip-hop artist to headline the iconic halftime show, delivering a powerhouse performance featuring hits like “Humble,” “Loyalty,” and “Money Trees.” He was joined by SZA for their chart-topping collaboration “All The Stars,” while acclaimed actor Samuel L. Jackson lent his voice as narrator, guiding Lamar through a show that delighted fans with exactly what they wanted.
Earlier this year, Lamar dominated the 67th Grammy Awards, taking home five trophies for his groundbreaking album Not Like Us. His wins included prestigious honors for Song of the Year and Record of the Year, boosting his total Grammy count to 22. This achievement places him just behind Kanye West (24) and Jay-Z (25), ranking him among the most decorated rappers in Grammy history.
