Trump Condemns Killing of Israeli Embassy Staff in Washington

U.S. President Donald Trump has strongly condemned the fatal shooting of two Israeli Embassy staff members that occurred outside a Jewish museum in Washington on Wednesday evening.

Taking to his Truth Social platform on Thursday, Trump denounced the attack as an act of antisemitism and called for an immediate end to such violence.

“These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the United States,” Trump wrote.

The deadly incident took place near the intersection of Third Street and F Street NW, in close proximity to both Georgetown University Law Center and the FBI’s Washington Field Office.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a lone suspect was taken into custody shortly after the attack. Police Chief Pamela Smith confirmed that the suspect shouted, “Free Free Palestine,” while being detained.

Authorities have identified the victims as staff members of the Israeli Embassy who were attending an event organized by the American Jewish Committee at the museum.

The investigation remains ongoing, as officials continue to assess the motive and circumstances surrounding the tragic shooting.
