Nigerian singer Fave has shared her displeasure after receiving a bouquet of flowers from an unidentified admirer, saying she has little appreciation for gifts sent without revealing the sender’s identity.

The singer expressed her views in a video posted on her official social media page, where she displayed the bouquet and questioned the reason behind sending flowers anonymously.

According to Fave, the bouquet arrived without the sender’s name and was accompanied by a handwritten message on what she described as an ordinary sheet of paper rather than a proper greeting card.

She said the gesture did not leave her intrigued, noting that no one had contacted her afterwards to confirm whether she had received the flowers.

“Nobody should send me flowers if it’s not something worthy of my appreciation,” she said.

Fave added that identifying the sender would have at least given her an idea of who the bouquet came from.

“I don’t even know who sent it. Nobody has reached out to ask if I received it. If they had written their name, I would at least know who sent it.”

The singer also questioned the decision to remain anonymous, saying the gesture failed to make the intended impression.

“It is not even an actual card, and you want to be anonymous? I actually do not want to know who you are,” she added.

The video has since sparked conversations on social media, with users sharing mixed reactions over anonymous romantic gestures and whether gifts should always come with the sender’s identity.

Nigerian singer Spyro has shared the story of how he met his partner, Janet Atom, revealing that their relationship began after a chance encounter at a nightclub where she was working.

Speaking during an interview, the singer explained that Janet was at the venue as an employee, not as a guest. He stressed that his account was not intended as a criticism of people who go clubbing.

According to Spyro, he became curious about why she worked at the nightclub, prompting him to strike up a conversation with her.

What began as a casual interaction soon developed into a friendship, which gradually grew stronger over time.

The singer said he eventually realised Janet possessed the qualities he had been looking for in a life partner, even though marriage was not on his mind when they first met.

Spyro explained that as their friendship deepened, he changed his perspective and decided to pursue a serious relationship, believing he had found someone special.

“I met her working in the club, not partying in the club, but that’s not to say that partying is wrong,” he said. “We got talking and we became friends. One day, I realised what I had been looking for was right in front of me.”

He added that once he recognised his feelings, he acted quickly because he did not want to lose the opportunity to build a future with her.

Nigerian singer and songwriter Brymo has stated that his focus remains on creating meaningful music and building a sustainable career, rather than seeking validation through awards and industry recognition.

The artiste made the comments during a recent interview on TVC, where he discussed his latest album Shaitan, his creative approach, and his views on the structure of music awards in the industry.

Brymo explained that some of the provocative titles attached to his works are intentional, designed to capture attention and encourage listeners to explore the deeper messages within his music.

According to him, elements of fear and curiosity are commonly used in business and entertainment to attract audiences, a strategy he said he applies through thought-provoking rather than sensational content.

“There’s this whole idea that the business world always uses fear and intrigue to sell and to pull you out of your peaceful state of mind, and it works all the time,” he said.

He added that his goal is not to provoke negativity but to spark engagement, noting that listeners often discover more meaning when they move beyond initial impressions of his work.

On the issue of awards, Brymo maintained that recognition does not define his artistic worth, insisting that his priority is producing work that can sustain his livelihood and stand the test of time.

“You can’t threaten me with some flashy award because I know what I’m doing,” he said.

The Ara crooner also raised concerns about the credibility of some award systems, alleging that lobbying and financial influence can affect outcomes.

He suggested that artists who do not engage in such practices may be undervalued, regardless of their contribution to the industry.

Brymo further stated that he does not see the need to seek external validation through awards, stressing that real success is measured by impact and financial independence.

“When the work takes care of me and puts food on my table, it is good work,” he added.

According to Magixx, men should take full responsibility for paying bills, regardless of whether the woman initiated the relationship or not. He insisted that the concept of a 50/50 financial arrangement does not align with his personal beliefs.

“I don’t believe in 50/50. I believe a man should pay the bills even if it is the woman who asked him out,” he said during the interview.

She said stepping into the music industry forced her to confront habits that limited her personal growth, particularly her tendency to withdraw from close relationships.

According to Tems, embracing her identity as an artist required her to unlearn those patterns and become more receptive to connection and love.

The singer noted that she now feels more comfortable expressing vulnerability, describing it as a key part of her evolution both as a person and a performer.

Tems began her music journey in 2018 with the release of her debut single Mr Rebel. Her global breakthrough followed in 2020 after featuring on Essence by Wizkid, a track that gained international acclaim.

Since then, she has collaborated with global stars including Drake, Beyoncé, and Justin Bieber.

Her achievements include winning two Grammy Awards and reaching a major streaming milestone, becoming the first Nigerian artist to surpass 40 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Tems’ reflections add to ongoing conversations about personal growth in the spotlight, highlighting how fame and artistry can shape not just careers, but also emotional development.

Speaking during an appearance on the Tea with Tay podcast, the “See Finish” crooner recounted how a routine errand turned into an uncomfortable encounter involving both overpricing and unwanted attention.

According to Madi, the incident occurred while she was out with her parents. Her father had asked her to step out of the car to purchase medication from a nearby pharmacy.

She explained that upon entering the store, staff members quickly recognized her and began taking photos and videos, drawing attention to her presence.

The situation escalated when she was allegedly billed N50,000 for a drug she said typically costs around N2,000. Madi noted that her father immediately challenged the price upon learning of the discrepancy.

Despite his reaction, she claimed the pharmacy staff denied any wrongdoing.

The singer described the moment as both shocking and embarrassing, citing the combination of public attention and the disputed charge.

Madi’s account sheds light on the pressures public figures may face in everyday situations, particularly when their celebrity status influences how they are treated.

Known for her hit songs “See Finish” and “Ole,” the fast-rising artist said the experience serves as a reminder of the less-visible challenges that can accompany fame.

Speaking on the Her Next Chapter podcast, the mother of one disclosed that she often felt uncomfortable with her physique, particularly her upper body, during her 20s. To cope, she said she resorted to wearing multiple bras in an attempt to conceal her natural shape.

Waje explained that the discomfort began even before she became a mother, noting that she had long been self-conscious about her appearance.

However, the singer said she has since overcome those insecurities, attributing her transformation to personal growth and the influence of supportive people around her. She highlighted the role of close friends, including rapper M.I Abaga and dancer Kaffy, who helped reinforce her self-worth.

She also pointed to motherhood as a turning point in her journey, saying it played a significant role in building her confidence and changing her perspective about her body.

Waje’s revelation adds to ongoing conversations around body image and self-acceptance, particularly among women in the entertainment industry.
