Nigerian singer Fave has shared her displeasure after receiving a bouquet of flowers from an unidentified admirer, saying she has little appreciation for gifts sent without revealing the sender’s identity.
The singer expressed her views in a video posted on her official social media page, where she displayed the bouquet and questioned the reason behind sending flowers anonymously.
According to Fave, the bouquet arrived without the sender’s name and was accompanied by a handwritten message on what she described as an ordinary sheet of paper rather than a proper greeting card.
She said the gesture did not leave her intrigued, noting that no one had contacted her afterwards to confirm whether she had received the flowers.
“Nobody should send me flowers if it’s not something worthy of my appreciation,” she said.
Fave added that identifying the sender would have at least given her an idea of who the bouquet came from.
“I don’t even know who sent it. Nobody has reached out to ask if I received it. If they had written their name, I would at least know who sent it.”
The singer also questioned the decision to remain anonymous, saying the gesture failed to make the intended impression.
“It is not even an actual card, and you want to be anonymous? I actually do not want to know who you are,” she added.
The video has since sparked conversations on social media, with users sharing mixed reactions over anonymous romantic gestures and whether gifts should always come with the sender’s identity.
