Xenophobia: Over 300 Nigerians depart South Africa


No fewer than 313 Nigerians have departed South Africa for Lagos, Nigeria following xenophobic attacks on foreigners in the country.

The returnees left Johannesburg in a Boeing 777 Airpeace Aircraft.

They are expected to arrive the Murtala Mohammed international Airport Lagos at about 2pm.

On arrival, they will be received by senior officials of the ministry of foreign affairs.

According o the Ministry of foreign affairs, the second batch of  640 Nigerians who have registered to be repatriated from South Africa will leave Johannesburg latest Friday.
