Following the recent uproar of xenophobic attack against Nigerians in South Africa, the country has pulled out of the World Economic Summit, which is due to commence on Wednessday (today).
Nigeria also recalled its Ambassador to South Africa, Ambassador Kabiru Bala.
It was reported that the country have also demanded full compensation from South Africa.
This is the outcome of the morning meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday in Abuja and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama at the Presidential Villa.
African countries like Congo, Rwanda and Malawi, have since pulled out of the Summit following the attacks of South Africans against foreigners in their country.
The World Economic Forum on Africa is scheduled to be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from September 4 to 6.
