World AIDS day: About two million Nigerians living with HIV/AIDS – NACA


Every 1st day in December, the united nations marks world aid day to revive global consciousness on the disease which has killed more than 33 million people since the beginning of the epidemic in the 1981.Despite local and international sensitization on the disease, 38 million people are living with hiv/aids worldwide, and in 2020 alone, 1.5 million people became newly infected with hiv. These rising infection numbers casts a shadow on the united nation’s target to end hiv/aids endemic by 2030.
