Wike/Atiku rift: PDP has to replace current leadership – Dogo

Efforts aimed at calming the raging storm consuming the people’s democratic party PDP has been futile, a development that has left the PDP more vulnerable under its current leadership.

The internal wrangling between the governor of Rivers state Nyesome Wike and chairman of the party Iyorchia Ayu has generated calls for the party to expel Wike as a member of the party.

Calling on the party’s founding fathers to inaugurate a new board of trustees to stir its affairs, Mainasara Umaru Dogo, political affairs analyst says Wike’s expulsion rather than affect the party’s chances to emerge victorious in the 2023 general elections will reflect a more united front and resolve the part’s current crisis.
