Voters’ registration:INEC strategy on sensitization played a key role –AIGBE


On the 28th of June, 2021, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) began the continuous voters registration exercise with plans to end it in exactly 12 months.

But the massive awareness and participation in the exercise forced INEC to extend it to July 31st, 2022.

With a total of 12.2 million voters registered in the Continuous voter registration that ended on Sunday, the total number of registered voters in Nigeria may have risen from 84 million to 96.2 million,
