Vice President Kashim Shettima has visited Mokwa in Niger State to express condolences to victims of the recent devastating floods that claimed over 200 lives and displaced more than 3,000 people.
During his visit, Shettima assured the affected residents of the federal government’s commitment to providing immediate relief and long-term support. He announced a donation of N2 billion and essential food items to assist those impacted by the disaster.
The Vice President emphasized the need for sustainable disaster management policies to mitigate the effects of such natural calamities in the future. He also highlighted the importance of rebuilding infrastructure and restoring livelihoods in the affected communities.
Shettima’s visit reflects the government’s responsiveness to natural disasters and its dedication to supporting citizens during times of crisis.
