Ugandan Forces Foil Suspected Bomb Attack Near Catholic Shrine in Kampala

Ugandan military authorities have confirmed that two suspected terrorists were killed while attempting to carry out a bomb attack near a Catholic shrine in the capital, Kampala.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, the military reported that its forces “intercepted and neutralized two armed terrorists” in Munyonyo, a suburb of Kampala. The suspects were believed to be planning an explosive attack in the area.
The incident occurred ahead of increased pilgrim activity around Catholic shrines, raising concerns about security threats during religious gatherings.
Authorities have since heightened security around key locations in the capital and launched an investigation to determine if the suspects were linked to any broader terrorist network.
