Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of their Champions League campaign after a 3-0 defeat by RB Leipzig in the last 16.
Trailing 1-0 after the first leg in London, Jose Mourinho’s side travelled to Germany in the hopes of mounting a comeback, however, Leipzig Captain, Marcel Sabitzer struck twice in the first 21 minutes before substitute Emil Forsberg scored the third goal with his first touch of the game.
“We were second to a lot of balls. To concede them goals shows our mentality wasn’t strong enough,” Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli said.
“We had to show maturity and fight and we didn‘t do that and we were punished,“ he added.
The defeat means Spurs are now winless in six games across all competitions.
