Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah has solidified her place as one of the best sprinters of all time.
She crossed the line to win the women’s 200 meters race on Tuesday at the Tokyo Summer Games, capturing gold in an Olympic-record time of 21.53 seconds.
She was followed by Christine Mboma of Namibia who won the silver at 21.81seconds and Gabrielle Thomas of the United States got the Bronze medal at 21.87 seconds.
For Thompson-Herah, it is her second gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and fourth gold of her career. She is the first woman in history to win the 100 and 200 meters in back-to-back Olympics.
