Three out of the Kaduna abducted pupils escape

Three of the pupils abducted  by bandits at UBE Primary School at Rama village in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State have escaped.

One of the teachers of the school who spoke to newsmen explained that the pupils escaped when the bandits attempted to rustle some cows and motorcycles at a nearby community.

Naomi Francis, a teacher in the school when the incident happened however added that the students had been beaten by the bandits before they were able to escape.

However, nothing is known of the three teachers earlier abducted.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna State government has insisted that no pupil was abducted or kidnapped.

Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement earlier noted that no pupil was kidnapped or declared missing after a headcount was conducted.

The incident happened just three days after 39 students were abducted from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Afaka, Igabi local government area of the state.
