According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, the Bundesliga outfit maintains a firm stance regarding the 19-year-old’s immediate future, valuing the Ivorian international at a staggering €100 million. While Leipzig intends to retain the forward through the January window, several interested parties believe a bid in the region of €60 million could potentially facilitate a transfer during the summer of 2026.

Diomande has enjoyed a meteoric rise in Germany since his arrival from Spanish side Leganés in mid-2025. The explosive winger recently made history by becoming the second-youngest player to net a Bundesliga hat-trick during a 6-0 demolition of Eintracht Frankfurt. Suitors view his pace and technical maturity as ideal for the Premier League and elite European competition, though Leipzig’s desire to keep their “young jewel” for a full season remains the primary obstacle to a mid-season move.

In a separate domestic development, Chelsea officially confirmed on Sunday that Japan international Maika Hamano will spend the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Tottenham Hotspur. The 21-year-old forward recently committed her long-term future to the Blues by signing a new four-year contract extension in September 2025, which keeps her at Stamford Bridge until 2029. Despite her long-term prospects in West London, the club sanctioned the temporary move to North London to ensure she receives consistent first-team minutes.

Hamano played a crucial role in Chelsea’s historic domestic treble-winning season in 2024/25. During that campaign, she earned 16 starts across all competitions, contributing six goals and three assists to the club’s trophy-laden run. The technical staff at Chelsea believes the loan spell at Tottenham offers a high-level environment for the young attacker to refine her skills before returning to compete for a starting spot next season. Hamano will look to make an immediate impact for Spurs as they navigate a competitive Women’s Super League schedule.
