Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles, have arrived in Porto Novo by boat for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Benin on Saturday.
The Super Eagles left Lagos in the morning through the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) boat jetty in Ikoyi with more than three boats spotted conveying the team.

After their berth in the West African country, the three-time Afcon champions completed a mandatory coronavirus test and they moved to their Golden Tulip Le Diplomat hotel.
Nigeria has intensified preparations for the crucial match with the Squirrels of Benin with trainings at the Teslim Balogun Stadium where they will play host the national team of Lesotho on Tuesday.
The victory of Gernot Rohr’s men over second-placed Benin would help secure their spot for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
